SyncJe for iPhone wirelessly synchronizes your iPhone Calendar, Contacts and Notes with SyncML servers.

Set it up once, and forget about it, your iPhone syncs wirelessly, and automatically. Synchronizing also backs up your information, so you are safe if your phone is lost.



1. First, you need to install SyncJe for Apple iPhone. Please follow the instructions in the iPhone Install section. There is a free 15 day trial, so you do not have to pay to try it out.

2. Then, you will need to sign up with a SyncML capable server. There are many free servers available, and some of the more popular ones are listed below.

• Scheduleworld: Another free service, which can be used for mobile devices and your PC to synchronise contact information, notes, task lists, and calendar information.
• Mobical: A free SyncML service, allowing you to sync your calendar, notes, task lists and contact information.
• Goosync: A free service which allows you to sync your mobile device with Google Calendars. Goosync also offers a premium service which allows syncing with Google Calendars and Contacts.
• Memotoo: A free and a PREMIUM SyncML service, allowing you to sync your contacts, calendar, notes, and task lists. Memotoo also offers other services as a world map of contacts, sharing your data, widgets for Netvibes, Google, ...

3. Finally, you need to setup SyncJe for iPhone so it knows which server you are using. The Quick-Start Configuration Guide can help with this setup. Now your iPhone will stay in sync automatically, without having to connect it to your computer.

SyncJe for iPhone needs to communicate with a SyncML-compatible server for synchronization to work. The SyncML server is "Always On", and acts as a bridge between your iPhone, and the computer you want to sync with. It stores the latest updates of your information and makes sure that your iPhone and computer are both up to date.



SyncML (Synchronization Markup Language), is an industry-wide effort to create a single, common data synchronization protocol optimized for wireless networks. SyncML's goal is to have networked data that support synchronization with any mobile device, and mobile devices that support synchronization with any networked data. The SyncML structured data layer will use XML wherever appropriate. SyncML is intended to work on transport protocols as diverse as HTTP, WSP (part of WAP) and OBEX, and with data formats ranging from personal data (e.g. vCard & vCalendar) to relational data and XML documents. Works with iPhones running firmware 1.0-1.1.4.
Works with SyncML 1.0.0 or 1.1.1 servers, including:

SyncJe for iPhone can be installed through the Installer app. Due to the limitations of the iPhone, there is no direct download link. The installation takes only a minute.

There are two sets of instructions below. One is for the short version for people who are very familiar and experienced with the Installer app, and the other is the normal, longer version with full descriptions. If the short version makes no sense to you, go to the normal version.


1. Run the Installer app and add the following source:

2. Go to the Install section of the Installer app and install "Nexthaus SyncJe"
3. Once installed, exit out of the Installer app, and run SyncJe for iPhone.
4. To configure, tap on the small (i) at the bottom right of the screen and fill in your SyncML server information. Free SyncML servers can be found in the Getting Started section.

3. Select "Edit", located in the top-right corner of the screen

4. Select "Add", located in the top-left corner of the screen.

5. A dialog window opens, prompting you to enter a URL. Enter the following URL:

6. After entering the URL, click "OK"

7. Next, select "Install", located near the bottom-left corner of the screen, and scroll down the list of categories until you find "Nexthaus SyncJe" and select it.

8. Next, select "Nexthaus SyncJe" again.

9. Select 'Install' in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

10. You may need to acknowledge a possible warning about third party software. Select "Install."

11. If you decide to continue, the software will automatically download and install. Once completed, exit the Installer application.

12. The SyncJe client will be on your home screen, labeled 'SyncJe'
